Virtual Sundials

On this page we would like to introduce you to the world of virtual sundials. These are sundials that come from your imagination and may only ever exist as a computer file.  If you can create a 3-dimensional sundial image using any kind of computer graphics package then we would love to show it here.  But your sundial must use sound dialling concepts so if it were built it could work. Reach out to the outer limits of your imagination and have fun creating your virtual sundial.

Send a couple of images of your 3D virtual sundial along with a description and it will be posted here. If you have a web site - How about a reciprocal link?

The two images above are rendered using the colours given to each object when they were drawn. The image below uses materials, such as various metals, that were applied to each object before the entire image was rendered.
